Another fruitful day at hometown.
Greeted good morning at 9am.
After satisfying our stomach, we went to pluck some coconuts from grandpa's yard.
We can even try a coconut from each tree to decide which tree bears the sweetest coconuts before plucking the whole bundle.
This is so cool~ *amazed*
Grandpa made it look easy but we cant even get one down by ourselves ==
City kids.. aiks~ haha!
Grandpa has been doing this since he was young.
His plantations are like his children and his lifeblood.
I really respect and salute my grandparents.
If they weren't hardworking enough,
If they weren't hardworking enough,
If they weren't wise enough,
If they weren't loving enough,
our generations would not have tasted the fruit of their efforts.
In life, there is always pioneers who have put in efforts and planted seeds for the future generations to reap and harvest.
I am really grateful and proud to be one of the Sha family.
I think we did helped a little.
By pushing the whole bundle of coconuts back home haha!
We tried chopping it open.
Grandpa was beside (supervising) :
"Nono~ You should hold the knife 45 degress outwards."
"Aim properly"
"Aim properly"
"Chop harder"
"Watch out not to hurt yourself"
"Watch out not to hurt yourself"
Finally grandpa said:
"Okok! Let me do it"
aiyerrr~ city kids FAIL again~
haha!
haha!
Nevermind, I believe practise makes perfect.
Ahhh~so refreshing =D
The best thirst quencher for a hot day.
Hopped on my uncle's Hilux after that.
Went to visit his chicken farm.
And he showed us how he hunts squirrels.
"Piuuu~"
A squirrel dropped dead. *shocked*
But squirrels are a nuisance for them because squirrels bite off most of the piping that supplies water to his chickens.
It was a nice experience with him.
Get to touch a real gun and bullets as well as watch him hunt.
woooo~ =P
We toured around the chicken farm. There are so many of them!
These are broilers, which means chicken that are grown for their meat.
One batch are few days old and the other batch are more than 10 days old.
There are surprises sometimes.
Two black chicks are found among the group of furry golden yellow chicks.
I can see that my uncle loves his job a lot.
I can see the glow in him while he's giving us explanations about his chickens.
Thanks to my uncle! I gained a lot =)
Fruit of a palm tree.
Nature is just so beautiful~
Next destination.
Tadaa~ know what this is?
It's a house for the swallows.
Once the swallow builds a nest, they will collect and sell it.
Therefore, this is where 屋燕 comes from.
The picture in the top right are holes for the swallows to build their nests.
The picture in the bottom left is the sound system that plays 'bird songs' to attract swallows into the house haha!
Home after the tours.
This freshly baked butter cake is already on the table waiting for us.
Aww~ we're so loved by our aunts.
We're so blessed to have them.
We won't have chance to starve ourselves when they're around =)
Happy birthday daddy!
Stay happy and healthy always!
*hugs*
